We purchased a really nice dog bed for Jericho X  A'Ja's litter so they will be more comfortable.  Yeah, that didn't work.  They figured out how a zipper works and had great fun for several hours making mattress-fetti.  Foam everywhere.  Jericho thought chewing this foam would be fun to play with, but as this could be a choking hazard, we made him give it to us anytime he found more.  He gave it to us willingly, so we gave him a French fry.  Making this association, he promptly left, located another piece of foam, returned and dropped it in my lap, looking expectantly for his reward.

We do not allow begging while we eat, so now when we are eating, and if it is something he wants, Jericho will bring us something to barter with - a ball, his stick - anything he places value on, drop it in the nearest lap, and wait.
